COMPRESSED OR CUT SQUARE O-RINGS FOR VARIOUS APPLICATIONS
At the «KAUCHUK» industrial rubber plant, we develop and manufacture square or rectangular o-rings for use in many industries.
The rectangular geometry of the cross-section of the ring allows our customers to easily choose the dimensions of the seal in accordance with the specific grooves in their application. Our technological equipment allows us to create square o-rings with a wide range of ring sizes and cross-sections, which increases the flexibility of using these types of seals. In addition, a wide rectangular contact surface can compensate for the disadvantages of the mating components that are produced by casting or machining.
The team of engineers at the KAUCHUK plant is ready to help our customers with the development of rectangular o-rings and the choice of material for them.

SQUARE O-RINGS – PRODUCT FEATURES:
- Maximum contact surface area of the seal with minimal compression
- Improved retention of internal and external diameters
- Rectangular geometry and our manufacturing process provide greater design flexibility
- No burrs, defects, voids or roughness
- Wide range of seal materials
- Custom cross-sectional dimensions
- No molds required for production
RECTANGULAR O-RING DESIGN
The rectangular cross-section allows design engineers to be flexible, especially for use in rectangular grooves. The cross-sectional dimensions of the sealing ring and the part itself can be developed independently of each other; in this case, engineers can vary the thickness of the ring, and choose from the finished product the most suitable size of the product.

Rectangular O-rings are available in most standard and special rubber compounds based on the following polymers:
- Silicone (VMQ)
- Butadiene nitrile (NBR)
- Ethylene Propylene (EPDM)
- Neoprene (CR)
- Styrene Butadiene (SBR)
- Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE)
The rubber compounds of the KAUCHUK plant comply with many specifications and have IATF 16949: 2016 certification for automotive industry standards. To ensure optimum seal performance for your specific application, please contact our sales department to select the right rubber compound.
